One of the modern solutions available at Vedi Clinic is ESWT shock wave therapy (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy). This is an innovative and effective treatment that helps Vedi Clinic patients cure chronic prostatitis.
Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland) is one of the most common inflammatory diseases in young men. The majority of prostate gland inflamations are observed in males between 18 and 50 years of age.
There are two forms of prostatitis – acute and chronic. In its acute form the disease progresses rapidly and requires immediate urological care and intervention.
The chronic variation of the disease is characterized by a prolonged course (anywhere between a few months and a few years). In these cases treatment should be focused primarily on reducing the severity of the symptoms of the disease and improving the Patient’s quality of life.
Treatments using ESWT therapy do not require hospitalization or anesthesia. Patients usually feel comfortable during therapy sessions.

ESWT shock wave therapy is widely recognized as an effective treatment for prostatitis. Clinical studies and the effects of therapy on Vedi Clinic patients show that ESWT therapy can bring significant improvement in this condition, and its effects are noticeable after just a few sessions. The results of ESWT therapy are usually durable with appropriate maintenance and monitoring.
Before starting ESWT therapy, the patient should have a consultation with our experienced team of specialists. The doctor will assess the patient's health history, perform a physical examination and order appropriate diagnostic tests. Based on the results of these examinations, an individual treatment plan will be established, including the number of ESWT therapy sessions and their frequency.
After ESWT therapy, the patient does not need to undergo convalescence. The patient can return to daily activities immediately after the treatment. The doctor may recommend avoiding sexual activity for a few days after ESWT therapy to allow the body to fully benefit from the effects of the therapy. If any discomfort or questions arise, the patient should consult their doctor.
